HINDUISM
There isn't a specific date where Hinduism was found but it is believed to be established in India around 2,000 BCE. There is no single founder for Hinduism, since Hinduism was not founded as a religion but more as a culture that flourished in India. They consider their supreme being as the Hindu trinity which are Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva; they are called Sat-Tat-Aum. They believe in Riencarnation which means that all living things are part of the cycle of death and rebirth. They also believed in Karma which is the accumulation of the good and bad things you've done that determine a person's next Riencarnation. Hindu's also follow a caste system. A caste system is like what type a class the person is born into. Diwali is one of their major holidays lasting several days in October/November. Diwali is a Festival of Lights which celebrates the New Year. Another major holidays is Dasara which is celebrated in September/October and lasts nine days to celebrate the triumph of good over evil. Holi is their spring festival that is celebrated in February/March lasting 2-5 days. During Holi people celebrate creation and renewal, and people throw colored powder and water at each other. Hindu's follow the Vedas which are the most ancient religious scripture. It is made up of four compositions which are the Samhitas, the Brahmanas, the Aranyakas and the Upanishads. Today, Hinduism is practiced mostly in India and Nepal where about eight out of ten people are Hindu's. It is practiced in temples or what Hindu's call a mandir.

Swastika is the second most important symbol in Hinduism. ^ Swastika can be broken down and it means "Everything is Good"
A bindi is worn by a married woman and its is red which means true love and prosperity. Different colored Bindi's have different meanings.
